Keep It Simple Stupid: or If the Shoe Fits Wear It (Bill McKay)

Bill McKay began his GIS career in 1990 as a co-op student for the US Department of Interior.  After obtaining his bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, he moved to Canada and worked for a GIS Consulting firm in Vancouver, specializing in GIS application development for the forest industry.  In 2005, he was hired as the GIS Coordinator at the City of Surrey, where he works with the GIS Manager and the rest of the GIS Section to maintain and enhance Surrey’s spatial database, improve processes and procedures and integrate GIS with other business systems.
