Mark Gayler is a Technology Strategist for Western Canada Government. He is responsible for helping Government customers understand the value and benefits of adoption and deployment of the Microsoft technology platform, particularly in the areas of interoperability, optimization, and Open Government. Mark relocated from the UK to Canada in 2007 and now lives in Vancouver with his wife and daughter.

Prior to this role, Mark was Manager of the Technology Specialist team for Microsoft Public Sector in UK servicing major UK Public Sector clients such as UK Cabinet Office, Department of Work and Pensions, Ministry of Defence, and HM Revenue and Customs.

Mark joined Microsoft in 2003 as Manager for the Enterprise Strategy Consulting team as part of Microsoft Consulting Services in UK servicing major UK customers in Finance, Commercial, and Public Sector. Prior to that he spent 15 years in IT Consulting building Enterprise IT solutions for blue-chip customers including Swissair, European Patent Office, United Nations, Delta Air Lines, and UK Cabinet Office.
