On February 16, 2012, the British Columbia Chapter of the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA BC) hosted a one day seminar entitled Open Data - So What?. In this seminar, we explored how geospatial technologies are being leveraged through open data, and how they are introduced into our daily lives both as GIS professionals and regular citizens.

URISA BC Seminar Cancellation Policy
URISA BC recognizes that on occasion plans change and individuals registered for our events may not be able to attend. However because URISA BC must make financial commitments prior to the event for meals and space, we have a cancellation policy. All registrants for an event who do not cancel at least two weeks prior to the event will be expected to pay their registration fee in full whether they attend the event or not. This policy applies regardless of when the registration on our site takes place. To cancel your registration, you must send an email to sscheepmaker@tol.ca. We will respond to your email indicating whether your cancellation has occurred by the cancellation deadline and whether fees are still payable. URISA BC appreciates your understanding.
