February 18, 2004
8:00 am - 3:30 pm
Ramada Plaza Conference Resort
10251 St. Edwards Drive
Richmond, B.C.

Thank you to all of you who attended the Integration of GIS, Mobile Solutions and Satellite Imagery event. We had a great turnout to this event. We appreciate your support in our endeavours to promote GIS knowledge through this type of seminar.

This seminar had two presentation series, Urban and Satellite. The Urban Series focused on the identification, assessment and management of municipal assets, integration of GIS with water network modeling, integrating CADD and GIS, mobile infrastructure maintenance and utilizing GIS to its highest potential over the Internet.

As part of the Satellite Series, the application of satellite Imagery for detection of impervious and pervious areas, as well as change detection for new development was explored. Particpants also learnt about the current state of satellite imagery and how the RCMP Air Squad will be using GIS data in their Police helicopters.

By the resounding feedback we have received so far this event was successful in its purpose. We hope you gained some useful insight into what other users are doing with GIS, Remote Sensing and Mobile Technologies and that you derived some value from attending, which you can in turn utilize in your workplace.

Thank you also to our Presenters and Sponsors. Events like this are successful because of all of you. We hope this event was as beneficial to you as it was to the attendants. Our Sponsor Logos, which have links to their website, will be left up on our site for the next two weeks. Please utilize these links to find out more about our sponsors for this event.

The presentations from the event have been added to this page for your future reference.

We look forward to seeing you at our future events.
